A place to sit for an hour.
We opened Maison Verde because the neighborhood didn't have somewhere to linger — over coffee in the morning, a plate at noon, or a glass at the end of the day.
The room
Small kitchen, market shopping, no rush.
Maison Verde is one room with eight tables and a marble counter. We open for coffee and pastry in the morning, cook a short lunch from whatever came in that day, and pour a handful of natural wines in the evening.
There's no long menu and no reservation gauntlet — a few tables are always kept for whoever walks in. We started it because the neighborhood didn't have a place to sit for an hour with a good glass and a plate of something honest. It still does the trick.
- Open six days — closed Mondays
- Coffee from a roaster two streets over
- Wine list changes most weeks
- A few tables always held for walk-ins
The room, lately
We'd love to have you in.
Walk in for a coffee any morning, or hold a table for the evening. Either way, there's a seat.
